Defining the problem
Fresh out of medical school, many doctors find themselves unprepared for the realities of running their own clinic - from handling finances to building patient trust. With over 60% of doctors in India feeling unequipped for this journey, the need for support in turning medical expertise into a thriving practice has never been greater.

Design Research, Conceptualization, Sitemaps, UI Branding, User Testing & Edge Case Identification.
See It Before You Buy It
During user testing, we discovered that doctors felt uncertain about purchasing a clinic package through the app because they could not gauge the size, fit, or appearance in their clinic space. To address this usability gap and build confidence in their decision, we introduced a View in AR feature, allowing them to visualise the package in their actual environment before buying.

📈 Business Management & Insights
Doctors struggle to grow due to a lack of performance analytics and financial visibility, with no tools for monitoring profitability or optimizing operations.
🔨 Clinic Setup & Vendor Access
No central resource for clinic setup; young doctors struggle to find trusted contractors, lack negotiation know-how, and find the process time-consuming.
🤝 Networking & Referrals
MBBS/BDS doctors face limited networks and lack a streamlined referral system, hindering access to specialists, labs, and peer collaboration for coordinated care.
💻 Digital Adoption & Specialty Needs
The absence of a unified, tailored digital platform for diverse medical specialties results in poor digital adoption across all doctor demographics, pushing many back to manual methods.

Studying the current market
Competitors like Practo, Drlogy, Docon, and Clinicea excel in core functions but lack clinic setup and referral network features, forcing doctors to juggle platforms.
Competitor strengths: Billing, patient registration, scheduling, and prescription management.
Key gaps: No tools for clinic setup or building patient referral networks.
Impact: Doctors switch between multiple apps for daily operations.
This gap leaves no single competitor offering a complete end-to-end clinic management solution.

To better understand the problem, we conducted camera studies, shadowed doctors, and held contextual interviews across dentistry, gynecology, and general practice, uncovering pain points and workflow gaps to ground our solution in real-world needs.
Mapping Insights
Through affinity mapping, we clustered interview insights to identify recurring pain points, then used an empathy map (says, thinks, does, feels) to uncover deeper motivations and build a shared understanding of doctors’ clinic management challenges.
What Did the Doctors Say?
After visiting clinics and interviewing doctors across different specialties, we uncovered the challenges and needs that truly shape their practice.
•Setting up a clinic is resource-intensive, often relying heavily on trusted contractors sourced through personal networks.
•Managing medical supplies typically involves a few trusted vendors, but manual processes make it time-consuming.
•Building a strong referral network is easier for specialists than for general practitioners, leaving many new doctors feeling isolated. •Administrative tasks, from inventory to payments, take away valuable time that doctors would prefer to spend treating patients.
•While digital health tools are gaining interest, their adoption is slower among experienced doctors who lack access to user-friendly solutions.

Framing the Challenge
Decoding Three Task Flows

Detailing out Task flows
With the sitemap as our foundation, we translated the high-level structure into detailed task flows, mapping every interaction step-by-step. This allowed us to visualise the user’s decision paths, identify potential friction points, and ensure each flow supported intuitive navigation and seamless task completion.

Since doctors had little time to spare for usability testing or giving layout preferences through A/B testing, we made a bold move - we booked appointments with them and switched to quick, no-fuss paper prototypes. Instead of pulling out a phone and waiting for Figma to load, we could simply flip a sheet in front of them. Paper made it effortless to view, compare, and give instant feedback. This way, we tested 2–3 homepage and login iterations and validated 3 task flows - all in the simplest, fastest way possible. Here are few glimpses of the same:

Starting of with Sitemap
A sitemap was initally made to understand the blueprint of the app. During this process, we identified the need to split the structure into two primary user flows - setting up the clinic and procuring essentials, and building a professional network - as these represented distinct user goals and interaction pathways.
